At Action Defense LLC in Parma Heights our mission is your personal  safety, and the safety of those around you. Our Certified Instructors  and Range Officers will train you properly to ensure that you are  prepared to safely and legally defend yourself and your loved ones with a  handgun.   While we do offer concealed carry classes, we also  understand that guns are not for everyone and we strongly advocate for  gun alternative (non –lethal) protection as well. 

We  have taught our CCW Class to over 1,500 incredible people since we  opened our doors in July of 2016! These students have spoken! Doug Murillo is a Veteran of the U.S. Marine  Corps, he founded Action Defense because of his passion for guns, safety  and education. He is an NRA and USCCA Certified Instructor.   Each of  his staff members are Certified Instructors, NRA Certified Range  Officers and are Certified by the American Heart Association in First  Aid.  Each are hand selected because of  their diverse backgrounds, life  experiences, their professionalism,  and their genuine enthusiasm for  teaching what they love to do. You will find each instructor to be kind,   patient and enthusiastic with the ability to teach beginners as well  as the most experienced students

I am on the West Side of Town near the Airport.
I  only teach small classes of 5-8 people - as I do a more in depth 10-  hr. academic program than most, with lots of hands on firearm handling,  combined with an NRA Power Point that has multi-video clips for enhanced  understanding. 2 hr. Live Fire is at Gray's Armory D/T. Cleveland for  the completion of the 12 hrs. I supply the firearms, ammo, protective  gear, breakfast snack and working lunch. My course is two days. One day  of academics and then a separate day for the live fire qualifications.
Course  also incorporates 2 written tests: NRA and CCW with 4 hrs. of law and  shoot and no shoot scenarios. I only do about 3-5 courses a year.
